What is the feldenkrais method?
The Feldenkrais Method is named after its originator, Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984), an engineer and physicist as well as a Judo teacher. It's a practical and unique way to realise your potential, focusing on learning and movement, which will bring improved movement and enhanced functioning.
The benefits of Feldenkrais include easier and improved breathing; relief from tension and muscular pain; greater relaxation and wellbeing; improved performance in physical activities, dance, music and drama; greater ease in everyday activities and increased vitality.

INDIVIDUAL lessons VIA ZOOM
£70 per hour session.
These sessions are an opportunity to book an individual lesson which is interactive and bespoke. You will be guided through an awareness through movement lesson, responding to specific areas of need and interest that you have.
Maybe there are particular movements you want to improve on? Your performance in general in sports or the performing arts? Or you are simply curious about the potential of the Feldenkrais Method to improve your overall health and wellbeing?

Rebalancing of the Autonomic Nervous System - Group Sessions via zoom
Thursday evenings from 6 - 7.15 pm from Apr 22nd to June 24th.
After receiving very positive feedback, I will be offering the same theme for classes commencing Thurs Apr 22th – Rebalancing of the Autonomic Nervous system.
I started this theme in October in response to our current circumstances and how guided embodied exploration and learning can help to recalibrate the nervous system, often destabilised by stress, anxiety and trauma.
The classes continue to be based on the Feldenkrais method but will also be informed by other body-based approaches for supporting overall health, integral to the Moving Pieces approach.
Free to frontline NHS staff.
Discounted rate of £135.00 to book 10 classes or £15.00 per session (drop-in).

WORKSHOP - 'FROM FELDENKRAIS TO IMPROVISED MOVEMENT AND WRITING'
Saturday 8 May, 9am-12pm
This workshop will be informed by the Feldenkrais Method and other movement based practice as a spring board to your own creative movement and improvised writing.
We will explore ways to enliven your body and imagination and how images and changes in our state can be taken into embodied creative practice.
This workshop will be of interest to those working with the arts, movement, performance or for anyone interested in personal development through embodied and creative expression.
